I recently delved into the Wild at Heart Series by Christine Hartmann – and let me just say that this was one of the most amazing and astonishing experiences that I have ever had.

The third book is Wild Card where we get to meet Bree Acosta. A girl who literally has her life in order and knows exactly what she wants in life, and what she's going to get out of it. That is until, one night. And like most things – one night is all it takes to turn your life upside down. Her story is one where we have to figure out what she'll end up doing with her life.

I loved every single book in this series box. I thoroughly enjoyed the character development that was offered in each book individually. I have to say that the author did an amazing job in grasping my attention and keeping it throughout the entire series. I loved all of the emotions that this series had to offer me personally as a reader and individual. It doesn't happen of, but I'm glad when I do.
I definitely offer this series 5 Stars, and will be more than happy to continue reading any and all books that this author has to offer.

Wild Card: Wild at Heart Series , Book 3
By Christine Hartmann

Wild Card is the third book in the Wild At Heart Series by Christine Hartman. This is a hilarious romantic comedy, full or surprises. It will catch your attention from the get go. You will not be able to put it down!!
I have never read anything by Christine Hartmann before, this is my first book. But now that I have, I’m a huge new fan!
What I enjoyed the most, is how relatable the characters are. Especially Bree Acosta, the female main character. She has a few insecurities us, women can totally relate too!
Christine Hartmann has a way of writing , where you feel like you know the characters. Like you could honestly, be close friends with them. Not all authors can do that, but she definitely can!!
Bree Acosta is a feisty, quirky, fun and independent woman. Just when she thinks she has life figured out, it throws her a huge curve ball. Which in turn, makes question her life choices and reevaluate her decisions she’s ever made.
You must read this book to see what happens with Bree! It will have you laughing out loud from beginning to end! Great job, Christine ! I can’t wait to see what’s next!

Wild Card (Wild at Heart #3)
By Christine Hartmann

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I found it really interesting. Whilst at times I found the story choppy and it wasn’t the easiest to follow I really liked the unique storyline. It had some really good twists and turns that I definitely didn’t expect. I liked the main character Bree and I really felt for her. I think one of the things I liked about her was that she was different to most of the female leads I read about; I thought she was just a really genuine and down to earth person. I think that her past had obviously scarred her - things people say and do to you at a young age always stick in your mind so I kind of felt she might have been settling for Mal. I’m not saying that they didn’t love each other because it was clear they did but there was something that wasn’t quite right. I could tell Bree was trying really hard to please her soon to be mother in law and she couldn’t do anything right. I found Mal’s family dynamic really interesting to read about too. I really liked his Grandmother and could tell that she understood Bree, even though Bree didn’t know this!
This is the third book in the series but can be read as a standalone. I would however really like to read the first two in the series now.

Wild Card (Wild at Heart Series Book 3) by Christine Hartmann
Rated 3 stars

This book was very slow and it really took me a while to figure out what was happening and why….. let alone who all the people were. This is the third book in the series and I have not read the other two. I would suggest reading the first two before reading this one since I really struggled. The writing seemed choppy and did not flow for me. There were many characters I didn’t care for and only about 1 that I liked from the beginning. I kept waiting for something to happen between a couple people but things never did. I feel the situation of bringing in the other characters from the previous books (I looked them up since I have not read them) was not smooth and just weird.

I felt the story jumped around with multiple people telling their story, which at the time had nothing to do with the main story. Near the end of the book I could see some reason for a few of the stories. The ending where a lot of things came together was nice. Although I kinda felt some stories were thrown in to make the ending plausible. I am still feeling weird about the couple near the end. What happened at the very end...my question is WHY?

Wild Card (Wild at Heart Book 3) by Christine Hartmann is the third book in her Wild at Heart series. This story can be read as a standalone and is the first one I have read in this series. I know that I will be going back to read the previous two. This is my first story by this author and I enjoyed her writing style and her creative details. Her characters are creative and humorous. They are connectable and will pull you right into their lives. They will take you on a few twists and turn that will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat. This story is about Bree and what happens when she goes to Las Vegas. She runs into someone from her past which will cause her to rethink her whole plan. What choices will she have for her future? She is a strong character with a few insecurities. It is really easy to see her qualities when she banters with the person from the past and how she interacts with the other characters. She is strong and out spoken and needs to be in control. She has attitude and you will just find yourself relating to her. I kept hoping that Bree would open up her eyes and see what was right in front of her. You want her to be happy but yet she just can't seem to find out what she needs. Is it possible that fate will allow her to find her HEA? You will just love her character. She really just brings mystery and conflict to this story. I highly suggest this story as I know you will want to see what happens to Bree and if she will ever find her HEA.

Wild Card is the third book in the series.
Bree Acosta thought she had her future mapped out. Everything planned out in detail. But, sometimes life has a different plan? Or wants to test your mettle. Anyway, she has big plans for the future - plans that have been mapped out and written in stone, until a night in Vegas changes everything. Her experience in Vegas has her questioning everything, and re-evaluating her decisions. Overcome by indecision and doubt, she is torn by what she should do. Should she go along with what’s expected, what she always thought she wanted- or go with her heart. It’s a battle of heart and mind. What choice will she make?
Bree is such a realistic and believable character. We all have a little Bree in us. She has got body image issues, she has doubts and insecurities- but she’s also very relatable and fun.
But there is danger lurking in the shadows. What happens in this captivating tale? Does Bree figure out what she wants after all?
You really should read the story and discover all the brilliant details for yourself- you won’t regret it!
I loved the characters in this story- they really were quite complex, individual and endearing.
There was edge of my seat moments, mystery, action, spice, surprises and drama, that had me flipping the pages to find out what was going on. I read long into the night just so I knew what happened.
A captivating read!
I am really looking forward to reading more of this talented author’s work.

Thank you, Ms. Hartmann!

Wild Card (Wild At Heart Series Book 3) by Christine Hartmann

5 Stars

Ill admit it took me till chapter 3 to get hooked on this book, but from that point on I could not set it down. It was one of those feelings like if I put it down it will continue without me and I'll miss something. This is my first book by this author and already can not wait to go read the first two in this series.

Every Time I thought I had it all figured out with the many different storylines going on, the rug would get pulled out from underneath me. I loved Bree, her struggles in life were real life struggles and the way this author described them were perfect. When her past and her present collide, her determination to do the right thing was something I respected.

The story going on in the background putting Bree in danger brought forward one of the strangest characters in a book I think I've ever read about. Poor Bree having no clue about what was going on until coming face to face with it still had no idea why she played a part in it. That whole part of this book was weird, yet very creative in my opinion.

Grandma was my favorite character in this whole book, she cracked me up, especially in the nightclub and when she referred to the cadillac like Elvis and demanded speed.

I loved this story, although for me a bit slow starting, the flow from then on was perfect. Im hoping there is still more to come as I see stories that could still be told involving characters in this book and I really want to see what the future holds for all of them.

From the book synopsis, I expected an entirely different book than what I ended up encountering. Regardless, this was a good book, very engaging and full of good detail. Bree is a relatable main character with her flaws and insecurities on full display (at least to me). The secondary plot (relative to the intrigue and assumed antagonist) was unexpected in its direction. But the story flowed easily and the resolution by the end was one that tied the story up well.
