I got chills so many times. Absolutely freaked out and started seeing things in the corners and shadows. Amazing writing.

Great book! Teenaged, Drugs and Horror, what could go wrong. The ending was so confusing, hate a cliffhanger

I enjoyed Sleepless but it was a bit slow paced to start with!

Sleepless is about Izzy and her group of friends. They are from rich families living near the Barbican Centre in London. They all attend the prestigious private school Clerkenwell. Like with many schools (says a student teacher…) exams are of utmost importance. Izzy and her friends are worrying about the upcoming exams, until Tigs gives everyone a solution- they could take this ‘study aid’ that she has found online which will help them focus for the exams. It seems like the perfect solution and everything is fine until after the exams… when Izzy and her friends start hearing and seeing strange things. Izzy and her friends soon wonder whether it would have been easier to fail their exams rather than go through the aftermath of the tablets…

Sleepless was slow to get into and I was worried that I might not like it, but it got better as the pace picked up. I’ve mentioned before that I’m not the biggest fan of horror, so if a book impresses me in the genre it really means something! I found this book to be incredibly intriguing and quite intense which was due to the atmospheric setting.

That ending just felt so cheap and annoying. It also seemed that there were many aspects that weren't dived into that could have enhancement the story. It felt like a mildly edited draft. 2.5

TBH I only reas this because I remembered the meat hook scene from when I was younger. Now that I'm satisfied I don't think I really enjoyed this as much as a well written book. It was okay. It was thrilling as much as I can be thrilled being tired from revision. Read it if you want to experience some mind fuck horror that won't make much sense. I would probably give it to my 10 year old self again becuase it was good at the time. Props for setting it in London and doing some research but the characters were way off as someone who has been raised there. They seriously sounded a bit American.

This is book I will remember. It’s been just under a year since I read this. Every once a while it will pop in my head and I fight the urge to re read it. During my exams me and my friends thought about take study pills, just as a last resort. Never did tho. After doing my exams I read this book what is centred around that idea.
This books takes you through the journey of these pills. How everything starts off being a “normal” group of school friends turn to this madness. Seeing things that are not there, having no control over there life. I get that people think it’s slow at the beginning but that what makes its work. As nothing happens before the drug but you understand where they are coming from. Suddenly the book picks up a rapid pace and taking you a different turn.
I highly recommend this book
