it was really good, but expected more from it. This book suffered a bit from the second book syndrome. And don’t get me wrong it was GOOD, and the POVs were awesome but the pacing was kinda slow, and you can tell that N.K Jemisin has every thing planned in the back of her mind for the third book. I’m expecting a great finale so hope i doesn’t disappointtt

It suffers from 2nd book in a trilogy syndrome in the middle. Really started to drag and then with the relentless heaviness and bleakness paired with real life, I just started dreading picking it up.
