So much time passed in the book but not a lot happened, well at least not that we heard about as all the action seemed to happen away from Nina (or the whingey whiner as I have named her) and we were left in the dark with her which was pretty boring. It was a pity we couldn't have went off with Jared or Claire maybe and get in on a bit of the action, hell even Kim would've been more interesting. I feel like the author has missed out on a trick here by not letting us in on all the exciting stuff that was happening and leaving us with the boring business at Titan etc.

Just as good if not a bit better than Providence. A lot happens in this one! Really good!

This was better than the first. I loved it! It was fast-paced, interesting, and full of suspense and love. I loved Ryan in this story, loved how Bex grew up a bit, and the new softness of Claire. :) I wanted to cry when terrible things happened, I wanted to hug the characters when good things happened. I also wanted to throw my Kindle when things got frustrating. All signs of a great book, in my opinion. :)

Oh my goodness! It's 2:43am and I've just finished reading "Requiem". I hadn't even realized what the time was...that is how absorbed I was with this continuing story of Nina and Jared!

"Requiem" is the second book in the Providence trilogy by Jamie McGuire and it was able to tie up certain storylines from the previous book and nicely set up new ones as well. Aside from the Nina-Jared relationship, I was happy to see the younger Ryel siblings, Claire and Bex, have more of a role in this book and was actually thrilled that Ryan was FINALLY able to move on from his feelings for Nina.

What's so interesting about the series is that it makes me want to research about a lot of the things the characters have to contend with. The most I knew was about Nephilim (thanks to Becca Fitzpatrick's Hush Hush series) and books that pique my interest and curiosity enough that I want to learn more are always a good thing.

And now I'm left with just "Eden"... Suffice it to say that my expectations for the conclusion to the trilogy are QUITE high so fingers crossed that it doesn't let me down! ^.^

I liked this second book of the series, but it didn't draw me in like the first. I absolutely love Jared though. He's an angel, literally ;-) I would like to see some of his POV.

I don't think I have ever been more disappointed in a novel. This author has been one of my favorites, but she really just needs to stick to romance. The main character in this book is a selfish, damsel in distress, that constantly whines and needs saving. Her character annoys me immensely. In a sexist world, authors, especially female authors, shouldn't protray a female protagonist as needy and selfish. It plays right into the hands of those who wish for a patriarchal society.

I just love this whole world. I really love each heroine in the books with their sassy personalities and the friendship groups that they have in the book. The drama within the book just keeps me hooked. I didn't like it as much as the other book but I really enjoyed where it is going.

This book definitely had more paranormal than romance but it was still great!! I think Jamie McGuire created a fantastic world of angels and demons. I am still very much in love with Jared and can't wait to find out what happens in the final book!
