As with the other books in the series, the major kink is the eroticism of shame. If that is not of interest to you, you will not enjoy the series. And since this is at the end of the series, you should not be here. And, as with all except arguably the first two books in the series, this is solidly non-con/dub-con.
This book does add a plot of actual peril. Which was definitely new for this series.
I have a problem with the rather glib resolution of the plot and peril. There certainly would be more consequences and drama to the violent resolution.
