Book 2 is not as good as Book 1, though it is a page-turning thriller, this time taking us out to sheep farms a short drive from Belfast proper, investigating the death of an American. A veteran. And it's a very complicated reason for his being in Northern Ireland and his death. The Americans get involved, but refuse to share information with the RUC, which just adds to the confusion, and the ending. I found that the ending was very rushed, very abrupt, and what happens to Duffy in the end was very unnecessary.
Graphic: Cursing, Drug use, Gun violence, Racism, Violence, Xenophobia, Religious bigotry, and Alcohol
Moderate: Death, Suicide, Vomit, and Car accident

A solid second installment in the Sean Duffy series. A solid mystery/detective novel with compelling prose and a lovably human protagonist.
