DNF

The pace was a little slow but mostly neither the characters nor the plot interested me. So, is a case of "it's me, not you"

I found this book well written and easy to read.

That being said I couldn't relate to the characters at all and felt that the author purposely avoided having the lovers have an honest conversation at all as it might have ended the story sooner than they wanted.

I think if the author had given us a bit more than the short snapshot of the characters lives it might have been more relatable, and I think readers might have benefited from a prologue of the characters buying and placing the lock.

The ending also seemed very unbelievable given the number of years that had passed since the characters broke up.

This is my second story from this author and I must say that I love her style.
It put me in a strange mood and almost assured me that the end would not be nice only to relieve me in the end.
Oh, and I loved Delron's behaviour there.

I am kind of at a loss as to what to say about this one. The writing was good. I think I needed it to be longer though. I couldn't find it in myself to care about the couple, when they seemed to not like each other, and their relationship fell apart in 2.5 seconds over the dumbest things, that could've been avoided had they bothered to have an actual conversation. I just don't believe they'd still be invested in each other after 5 years, believing what they did about how the other behaved. The obsession with the lock was over the top, I think it's ridiculous so I was with Phil on that, but it really wasn't any worse than anything Phil did. This is why I say I wish it had been longer, had I had a chance to see them in a GOOD relationship, I would've cared that it collapsed. I would've been invested in them reuniting after being torn apart. But all that said, this was not a chore to read and it wasn't SO horrible that I hated it. There was enough to the characters that they were interesting. I just wish for something more.
