“In public, you’re Jade. But behind closed doors, you’re—”
“Lucy?” she breathed.
I shook my head. “Mine.”
“I don’t care where life takes us as long as it takes me with you.”

I enjoyed this book by Willa Nash aka Devney Perry. This book is not a strong as the Edens or Clifton Forge series but shows promise. I enjoyed Lucy and Duke’s story. It did sway a little too instalove for me, I love the build up of a romance. I felt we didn’t get to see that deeper connection being formed. That being said I still found yourself rooting for the couple. I am intrigued by the set up for book 2 and excited to see how it plays out because marriage of convenience is one of my favorite tropes.
Graphic: Gun violence, Suicide, Stalking, and Murder
Moderate: Animal death, Child abuse, and Domestic abuse
Minor: Panic attacks/disorders, Car accident, and Death of parent
