Every book I think that brother is the best, but I think Donovan is the all around best, most arrogant Collins brother and I love it! Donovan had it all in law school. Top of his class, good friends and a woman he was in love with. Right at graduation it all went to hell and he left Paisley with a broken heart and his heart was permanently hardened. Seven years later he runs into her in NYC but refuses to be civil. He heads back to Chicago to kick some ass and take nor prisoners, until he see the "new hire" for the firm. Paisley returns to Chicago from her prestigious NY job to take care of her family, though you get the feeling that she is leaving something out of her story. The two of them in close proximity sets off all kinds of fireworks....in the office...in the bar...in the bedroom!! I love that we finally get Donovan's story. You realize why he is the asshole he is, and you see how much they still love each other, if they can ever forgive and move on. This is such a fabulous book, I just loved it!

4 what a tangled web we weave stars!!

Donovan was not quite the ass hat everyone believed him to be was he? Of course he couldn’t go on being the evil brother otherwise there wouldn’t have been much character development. He wasn’t my favorite brother but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t a good brother. I really enjoyed his coming together with Tate in this book, it was something quite unexpected but really nice. I don’t think his reason for leaving Paisley behind in college were quite good enough, but I get it in a weird way. I loved how he loved Paisley when she came back, dove in head first she is it for him. Not so much that he decided that they were gonna start a family but everything else was great. (the family thing goes both ways)

Paisley was a character that I had rough time connecting too. She was so wishy washy the whole book, was she in, was she out. Her relationship with her grandparents was adorable. If she really was this no holds barred lawyer like Tate I wanted to see that, but I didn’t even get a glimpse of that in this book. She just felt to indecisive for me, not enough backbone. When you get to the end you see why she had some of the conflict but why not stand up for yourself.

I wish we would’ve had a little more brother bonding in this book than we did, I know there was an epic scene but I wanted some comrade somewhere in between. The girls seem to have it in spades and they are not even blood related. I know this review seems like I didn’t like the book when I actually did really enjoy this book. I probably just put it on such a high pedestal it would obviously get knocked down a peg or two. This whole series was amazing. I cannot wait to see what this duo comes out with next.

Sometimes I find that by time I make it to book 3 or 4 of a series, my interest starts to take a serious dive. This is my first series by Howell/Wolf and I am delighted to report there has been zero loss of interest here! In fact, I think this is my favorite of the Cocky Suits to date! Donovan was exceptionally well developed. I love that family issues were explored both separately and in connection with his love life. Paisley was a fantastic, strong female lead. I just loved her! One of my favorite 2020 reads.

This is one of those series that seriously needs a binge read... but if your at book four then you already know that. Each can be read as a stand alone book, and each book features a hot asf...brother.
What you need to know going into book four....

1. Donovan is the youngest in a family of four brothers....this is his book.
2. This is a second chance romance... these characters come out of the gate with some intense love=hate vibes.
3. Read it slow and savor it....because this is the last brother.

What did I like? There is something to be said about that love/hate vibe. In this book it just emanates off the page. Really though? Who doesn’t love a second chance romance with a fiery passion that never went away. Donovan starts this book off really arrogant but Paisley doesn’t budge until she brings him down a notch or two. It’s so steamy to see a woman who just knows her man, and Paisley knows Donovan.

Would I recommend or buy? My favorite of this series is still Possessive Playboy but all these get a five star rating from me. It was an amazing series, and I’m saddened that this ride is over but I’m glad the brothers all found their HEA’s. The covers in this series are gorgeous and I plan on getting a copy of them ASAP for my shelf. No matter what format you get though, I recommend you read all of them because they are so good. KU too.... so grab and read.

Thoughts for the authors? Congratulations Sloane Howell and Alex Wolf on this terrific series. I devoured it, and I got my daughter to read them on KU. Fabulous job. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next. Five stars of entertainment!

Very short review:
- I did not like similar names. This was my first book in the series and there were a lot of names from the start and all the brothers have similar names. Deacon, Dexter, Decker and Donovan. Expect Donovan, I did not know who was who and to whom he was engaged to when I read about them.
-Secondly, I did not fully understand why Donovan broke up with the heroine. At first, I thought it had something to do with her family but after reading the whole book I still don't know what made them broke up. I guess I just don't accept him being the asshole reason.
-Also didn't understand his resentment toward one of his brother's fiances. I mean, it was explained but I didn't like how he became hostile every time he saw her. Chill, man.
-Loved the ending, though. Got me teary and all.
-sexy times, tension - hooot!
3.5-4 stars.

Thank you to the authors and a publisher for providing me with an ARC. All thoughts are my own.

Okay, I'm just gonna say it, Donavan is a jerk. I mean, we've pretty much known that since book one of this series. But the question is whether or not he's a redeemable jerk, and I'd have to say a great big yes because much like the rest of the Collins men, he's a big ol' marshmallow in the middle. It just takes some work to get there, and the journey was terrific. We're four books in now, and every time I say the authors have given me a favorite couple, they top it with the next book, so I've decided that they can all be my favorites since this series has definitely become a must-read for me. This one does have its share of secrets to uncover, and I think it may be the most emotional of the series so far, but it's also got the witty dialogue that I look forward to and Donavan and Paisley are hot enough to set your Kindle on fire. All in all, another great couple in a series of great couples, and I can't wait to see what Sloane and Alex do next.

I didn’t expect all the feels with Arrogant Playboy, book four in the Cocky Suits Chicago series but man, did these two authors deliver them! This intense second chance romance between Donavan and Paisley had everything...laughter, tears, smoking hot chemistry, swoon worthy moments and more. Donavan is definitely the most intense, complicated brother out of all of them but Paisley gives him a run for his money. I enjoyed their story and cannot wait for more from these two authors!
