Heirs of Falcon Point by Sian Ann Bessey, Traci Hunter Abramson, Paige Edwards, A.L. Sowards

The Heirs of Falcon Point is written by four separate authors: A. L. Sowards, Paige Edwards, Sian Ann Bessey, and Traci Hunter Abramson. Each has its contributions by main characters.
A.L. Sowards does a brilliant job in capturing and holding your attention right away. I was swept away into Austria to the beginning of WWII and introduced to murder, suspense, treachery, and family love. I was so engrossed in the Lang children and their heart-rending flight from their beloved home and country that I had a hard time putting the book down. From there, the story jumps decades later to the Lang descendants and that’s where the book falls flat for me. Although I finished the book, the rest of the story wasn’t as gripping as it was for me from the start. I’m sure it’s because of my preference of different author’s writing styles. And, due to numerous characters and their complexities, I had difficulty getting invested in any of them.
With multiple authors and characters there’s no lack of action. There's CIA involvement, hitmen, villains, lost family found, quest for treasure, and romance between multiple couples.
Overall the book is suspenseful and if you like romance, it won’t disappoint.
Contents: (S) None. Tender kissing. Squeaky clean romances. (L) No swearing, nor degradation of deity. (V) Murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, fight scenes, and car crashing but all mildly depicted.

Let's ask an honest question. Can four authors make a beautiful, fabulous, intense, holy cannoli book? Yes, my friends, yes they can.
I am not sure how they did it but every scene, every character, every word had me wanting more. I say I am not a mystery/ thriller fanatic but this whole time I have been lying to myself. Just lies. I am a LIAR LIAR pants on fire.
I don't want to spoil anything for anyone but there was one part I was like "don't cut scene!" I may have contemplated throwing my Kindle at the wall yet I reframed. Like ugh.
Also not to brag or anything,

The four authors worked so well together! They created a seamless story while also bringing their own author voices and strengths to the writing. I so enjoyed seeing how each wrote their characters and how thoroughly each character was developed in spite of the fairly large quantity of main characters. The amount of suspense is balanced well - enough to keep me turning pages but without being overdone.
I look forward to reading subsequent books in the series!

I absolutely loved how this book was written. The beginning pulls you right in to the story and those first chapters were thrilling and heartbreaking at the same time. The story did slow for a bit after that for me, but it didn't take long for it to pick right back up. Each of the cousins were written well and I loved getting into the head of the bad guy. There are some great twists and well-written action. I definitely had some favorite characters.

Predictable, safe, and elementary, I still stayed up late reading it and for that I give it more than 3 stars but less than 5.

A seamlessly woven tale of a war-torn family’s loss, of an abiding love of family and of home passed down through the generations. The reader will find heart-racing suspense and intrigue as they follow the descendants in their quest to delve through the past and find hope for their future. Fantastic read!

I received an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
The beginning of the book completely hooked me. I was so vested in the Lang siblings' escape, I was almost sorry to leave them behind for the modern story.
We have several heirs who know nothing of each other. And the big question for me was if they would figure out how to regain possession of Falcon Point, their ancestral estate.
I liked how Anna worked as the lead point of view in the story. She anchored me to know what was happening with the house. As she figured out clues, I was crossing my fingers for her. But time wasn't a luxury she had to fiddle with. - not when so much money was on the line. The stakes kept getting worse and worse for the heirs - something I love to see happen.
It's amazing that four authors could work together to create such a seamless novel.
This was such an enjoyable read! I highly recommend it for lovers of mystery, suspense, family saga stories, romance, and WWII buffs. And if you're Austrian - it's automatically on your TBR pile!
