fav quote: “she liked Harry Styles a few years ago, and now she likes that white-bread, absolutely fucking baguette of a lad from Call Me by Your Name”. This book is p much just unhinged feral woman does unhinged feral things to men that get progessively more unhinged and feral. not sure i got the deeper commentary of it all but it was *interesting* to read ! the tw list gives an indication of the unhingedness at play lmao

I am not sure how to feel about this book XD
It's dark, explicit. There's a lot of gory details, masochism. The characters are unreliable, manipulative and gaslighting. But there are somethings I liked about the book. The way the FMC'S sexual desires and her sexualizing gaze is not glossed over by the author, almost like a role reversal, where it was mostly men's gaze and desire for women. I also liked how the author did not give them (the characters) a sudden realisation and pull them out of their downward spiral.
Overall, I believe that is a very realistic work (except for some parts).

Totally gripping from start to finish; this whole book feels like a terrible accident you cannot look away from. Of all the unhinged woman books I've read this has been my favorite so far. Despite how insane our protagonist is, and how detached from reality the people she interacts with are, I believed every single one of them. It really explores power dynamics between men and women (but also women and women), through the lens of sex/attraction. Clark really takes her time exploring this from all angles, which I found fascinating. There are a ton of TW for this though, so please proceed with caution.
