It was good. I think the smut was well written though oftentimes, I was confused as to where they were... Idk.. maybe it was just me not fully reading the setting.

Chase and Gigi need to be better communicators. They always solve everything with sex and it's just... like OK!

I think the stalker plot is okay. Could definitely be better but I don't know. They just always kind of put it to the side.

I see why men like Chase are enticing... Extremely smart, wealthy and good-looking. It just seems like he has terrible anger issues and unsolved trauma with possessiveness and jealousy... It's off-putting

Hey guys, so I finished Body (Trinity Trilogy, #1) by Audrey Carlan. I had started reading this intending for it to be my side book while I was going to read another book. I did not think this book would take much concentration or effort to read. I fully intended on skimming this book and enjoying it for what it was. What I did not expect was to get fully invested in this novel. In the characters, in the writing, in the storyline. It was amazing, way better than I ever thought. The characters were awesome, especially Gigi. I loved her warring sides, the fierce, independent woman who will let no man control her or make her feel weak again in contrast with the woman who wants to be protected, sheltered, safe and provided for- in every, way possible. Then there is Chase....damn, sexy, dominant, overbearing possessive, Alpha male. THe main love interest. The typical rich man who loves to please women. And damn....he sure can please. But he does more than just pleases Gigi...he takes her to new highs she has never experienced before, but also to new lows that drive a stake into her healing wounds. He is both her angel and her demon, depending on his mood. He can be the most passionate and pleasing lover in the history of lovers, but he can also be major alphahole control freak with trust issues. But damn...he is wicked, sexy as sin. Who wouldnt want to have him? And the two of them....makes for a very entertaining storyline. I really liked the dynamics between the two, how they balance one another, and how Gigi calls Chase on all his bullshit. She gives him a run for his money. And often, Chase makes Gigi run. It was interesting reading about all the pleasures and pains in their relationship, how it can strain but also be stronger than gold. I really enjoyed riding this rollercoaster with them. I would of really liked a pov from Chase. The writing was great, not to much description, but a lot of description where it was needed...mhmm. The 'bedroom' scenes were quite delicious, and amazing, written so well and I just adored them. how could you not??? It was really great, the passion poured out into the story, and the heat between the characters was palpable. I just really liked the storyline, and it was not like any other book that may have an dominant alphahole who likes to be wicked...**coughs** Chase has a heart, he truly does, he just guards it fiercely. Chase cares, he just doesnt always know how to express it in the appropiate manner. BUt he is learning. Gods...what I wouldnt give to have a man like Chase...**licks my lips**. I dont know when I will read the sequel but I hope it is soon. Remember, this is all my opinion, if you want your own read the book. Till next time, bye.

So many stupid tropes that I added a shelf just for this book. Heroine gets stupid-girl diarrhea mouth because hero is *so* hot! Behaves totally unlike herself cause she's incredibly gun-shy due to whatever-the-fuck trauma in her past but feels safe with the super rich hero she doesn't really know. Falls off a fucking treadmill in his presence because how else can he catch her? I wanted to stab myself in the eye by the 2nd chapter and was annoyed that I spent 99c on a book I'd never have bought if I'd read the sample which I would have had it not cost 99c.

Carlan can write hot sexy scenes and make you addicted to her writing but, Chase "Ass Hat" Davis is not a favorite of mine... Gillian (Is it pronounced Jillian or like Gill-Ian) goes back to another over-controlling guy. I don't know if I'm going to read the rest of the series.
