I’m not sure why people don’t like this book but it is interesting to read other people's reviews. I remember reading the first two and part of this one in elementary. I came across the first five books at HPB on November 3rd and immediately started reading. Even as a child in elementary I understood what was going on in the books, so I'm trying to wrap my head around the idea that some people aren't getting the simplest problems that have already been explained. I'm now in college and these books still interest me. Yes if you are here for the history aspect this one is hard to incorporate because of what little is known, but that doesn't make it a bad story. I enjoyed the new aspect of Jonah and Katherine not being able to trust anyone even the other kids. It was very nice and it kept me interested. If you're just here for the majority of the history aspect you will be disappointed. I would also not recommend the next book if you are more interested in the historical aspect because as the series continues it's going to have to be more fictional than anything and that is shown in the next installment. Overall, I enjoy this series and will continue to fly through them!

Every last one of the characters annoyed me. Andrea was ridiculous, Jonah was thickheaded, Catherine was a know it all, and the other two boys were basically useless. I hope the next book makes up for the travesty that this one was.

This book was much more slowly paced than the first two of the series. It felt very long and drawn out for the first 80%, then a scramble at the end. The Author’s Notes about the actual history was a good feature.

Fun listen! I love this series - they're rollicking reads, and how can you it like time-travel? ;)

This time, the time traveling children are off to Colonial America to return Virginia Dare (the first English child to be born in North America) to her proper place so that time may be repaired. Another enthralling addition to The Missing Series!
