An easy binge read, not really much depth or brain cells needed to digest it

as a 23 yr old who is struggling in the “love” department, i wasn’t sure what feelings or emotions this book would bring me. all i could think about is how i would be reading about some teenager’s summer fling or something like that, and what makes her special ? well the answer to that is honestly nothing, her life is like anybody else’s ! which is absolutely without a doubt 100% why i loved it !!! this book is relatable on so many levels, whether you are a current teen experiencing this for yourself or an adult that is reminiscing on their own first love. everybody has one. so my answer to what feelings and emotions the book would bring me is ALL OF THEM. i got frustrated with a couple of the characters and their attitudes but this isn’t in a bad way. there were just times when i was like OMG KISS, hold her hand, or do something !! there were also plenty of times when i had to sit up because i was giggling like a middle schooler who was thinking about her crush !!! UGH I LOVED IT ALL !!! this was also my first read by jenny han, and i couldn’t be more excited to read the other two books in this trilogy ! i was enthralled by her writing style and even though the chapters jump from present to past, it was not hard to follow at all. she made everything from the setting and description to the characters and emotions they were feeling all beautiful and easy to connect with ! for me, this was a perfect summer read, especially during a time when i would like to believe i have grown and become a better version of myself ! maybe this was the summer i turned pretty too :)

☼ Personajes: Bells, Conrad y Jeremiah.
