The Resistance books in the "Age of..." series have been the least interesting of the bunch, but I'll attribute that to my assumption that they just aren't aloud to do much with these characters.
There has been so much creativity around the original and prequel eras, but there is apparently greater licence with those characters.
It could also be the writing. The Rebellion and Republic era books came from Greg Pak and Jody Houser, respectively. The latter, especially, is a Star Wars god.
There was a fun lore connection to the Darth Vader comics in the Maz short story. Otherwise these stories were remarkably unremarkable. Finn's was the best of the bunch, though it was mostly just characterization reinforcement.
Pick this book up if, like me, you *have to* Star Wars. Otherwise keep waiting for Charles Soule's post-ESB run in 2020.

These stories are super cool, I especially loved the ones about Finn, Holdo and BB-8, they offered some great material.
