well i haven't touched it about 6 months, so... nevermind. No disrepect to the series, I think it's cool, just not something I'm in the mood to read - still hyped for the animated adaptation though and glad to have chucked a few quid into the kickstarter!

Soulsmith picked up in some of the ways I felt like Unsouled lacked. There was much more world building and exposure to the characters' sentiments performed in this book, which made me enjoy the characters and the reading experience more than the entry point to the series. I am looking forward to reading Blackflame!

A lot of people are saying that the first book is the weakest one. Honestly, I like the first book. This one was bad, in my opinion. Not bad, at least worse than the first one. I will still stick with the series. I want to know where it goes, but I hope that the next book is a lot better.
