Maybe this is how everyone feels?, but I can only get into super specific types of romance books — this being one of them.

This one is a hiking/adventure/wilderness book, with juuust enough believability in the plot and setting that I didn’t feel distracted or taken out of the story. The hiking backdrop worked super well for my taste!

I saw the film of this a while ago and loved it, so I was interested to see whether the book was as good, and I'm happy to say that it was. I really enjoyed this book, despite it being a romance-type read. I'm not sure why but both the film and book made me feel happy (I guess that's the general idea) and it's just a feel-good story. I really liked the main character, despite her flaws and annoying personality at times.

I maybe felt the age gap was a bit weird, but after I while I even forgot about it and just enjoyed the banter and chemistry between the two. It was funny too. Really enjoyable read and a nice break from my usual thrillers.
