I love, love, love, love Michael Connelly's books sooooo much!!!
I love his way of writing very matter of fact, to the point, succinct, clear. Yes, his characters have doubts and vulnerabilities, but they are expressed in 5 sentences not 40 pages.
I love how the main characters are razor sharp smart. They are integer, loyal, just.
They fundamental desire to do the right thing, to fight for justice and truth.
I love how the author is explaining the reader the terminology , the shortcuts, the processes, the paperwork needed and how it has to be submitted by the police and the lawyers. It's fun to find out simple, interesting things in the middle of a crime investigation.
I love how the plot thickness pretty good in the same time that is unwoven.
The book is action packed and the personal side of things takes the stakes so high that you are on the edge of the seat most of the time.

Generally I'm a Bosch fan more than a Haller fan, but this one was good. Maybe one of Connelly's best. I could not put it down. Classic courtroom drama.

I don’t give out 5 stars often but I loved this book. It had me hooked from the beginning and I had moments where I couldn’t put it down. Great story with suspense, in my opinion, that hung around for the entire story. Loved it!
