T-Fish really puts other thriller authors to shame. A cult survivor gets stalked by a serial killer, and also throw in a little Desperate Housewives of Tiger Mountain? I feel like I forget the general plot of most thrillers I read within days, but this one was memorable. Good writing and I wasn’t sure where it was going the entire time.

This is only the second time I’ve had to give a 1-star rating but c’monnnnnn. I love TF and loved The Wives - but what happened ??

First chapter is ok: my thoughts- she’s building the characters - next chapter - showing her relationship ok. I’m bored still, but hoping it picks up. It does not. I read a little over 100 pages and have stopped. Not an ounce of suspense, edge-of-your-seat, thriller.

Not interesting, completely boring, plot is just. Idk won’t spoil it if others want to read it but whaaaaat?!? Colleen Hoover says this book is a “riveting suspense,” Colleen, why you lying to your friend?

I will still buy any new books by TF. She has the talent, this book just doesn’t showcase that.

Really quick read that started strong, but I didn’t like how it wrapped up. The back and forth POVs were interesting, but I don’t think the ending tied together well. I feel like all “cult” books essentially have the same plot. Her writing style was easy to read

Tarryn Fisher did it again. Another nonstop read where I am constantly wondering how this story full of twists and turns will end. I can’t remember a time recently where I’ve pulled for a heroine more. Summer/Rainy has gone through so freaking much in her young life and has fought her way to the life she has now. I was so invested to see how things would play out with the Tiger Mountain girls as well as what would happen with a revisit to Vegas. These thoughts and the answers I received to them did not disappoint. I’m glad the story ended the way it did, in so many ways. I won’t give more than that because I don’t want to spoil this thriller at all but I’ll reiterate, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time I read this story. Tarryn’s writing has this ability to submerge you into the world she’s created and feel all the emotions her characters are feeling: anger, hurt, jealousy, pain, love, and so much more. What a wild ride. Can’t wait for the next one! Love, a #PLN4LIFE!

Taryn Fisher books are always wild and crazy and An Honest Lie was no different. I flew through this one, needing to know what was happening next. Cult fiction is becoming quite the thing these days, and I am a fan for the most part. It is fascinating to see what people will do and to stop and think about what you would do in the same situation. I would hope that I would be smarter that Rainy and not get myself messed up in this insane ending.

Rainy doesn’t talk about her past. It is behind her and she is happy now. An artist, she has moved away from New York to be with her boyfriend Grant. But when she is invited to a girls weekend with Grant’s mates wives, she really doesn’t want to go. Vegas does not hold good memories for her, and she never wants to go back. But she doesn’t want to tell anybody why so she goes. She doesn’t like these women either. She slips away, unable to stay away from the place where her mother was murdered when she was a kid..in a cult that ruined her life.

If you like cult stories, you will like this one. It is also a story of Rainy and her mother, what brought them to Nevada in the first place? And inside Rainey’s head, her thoughts and memories.

Thanks to Harlequin Australia for my copy of this book to read. An Honest
Ike is out now.
