I didn't even make it halfway through on audio before I knew I needed to purchase this.
I will return after rereading with actual passages I want to note down, but here's what I plan to do with this book, physically: Underline, highlight, and annotate everything that you find worth saying to a friend or spouse, a sibling or a partner. Then give it to them, and let them read it.
I will be returning to this book often.

The overall writing of the book was beautiful. Very sad. Not for me at this time and I’d warn others to check the triggers. I’m not someone who feels I need to check for trigger warnings but chapters of this book felt extremely depressing to me.

Jokes aside, this book is everything. So much sensibility, empathy and wisdom. One of my new favorite books for sure.

but i had highlighted so many good quotes that gave me food for thought. all sections were pretty strong, but it was the last part regarding loss that really struck a chord with me and made me emotional.
i enjoyed the author’s input but i felt her transitions between interviews with her thoughts were a bit short. i think she’s a great writer and i wish we got more insight from her inbetween about the interviews and how it affected her! i do appreciate how diverse her interviewees were though. i read this on e-book but i may purchase a physical copy to revisit the quotes that really stood out to me :)
