First of all, the author continually drops you in the middle of a sex or kissing scene.
Secondly, the FMC doesn’t want to go with her KIDNAPPER, yet all her “friends” are like “it’s ok, go with this stranger, he is your mate”. Then, it’s like “oh he is cute so I guess it’s ok”. WTF!!!! No, it isn’t. And if he had any respect for her at all, he would court her rather than kidnap her and force a mating.

Despite my low rating I did like this. I knew going in it'd be quick and straightforward but there was really nothing in it. Sometimes short novellas are packed with info and sometimes they're a bit lacking. I'm probably not going to retain any of the story but it was cute and fun so it did it's job.

Dialogue was mostly alright. I liked how authentic the characters were. Appreciate that even though it's supernatural, there's still a sort of realistic concern about where to live and rushing into things.

Was this fun? Yes.

However, what could have been a good book fell short because of the pacing. It’s has these weird jumps in time that make no sense. One moment you are in the MMCs front yard then they are kissing on her front porch. You also hardly get any time with them as a couple then you get an epilogue three months later. I wanted more of the characters. This felt like a weirdly rushed and very unedited book.
