"Parce que je sais que je suis merveilleux, quoi qu'il advienne."

C'était un câlin tout doux, comme on en a besoin parfois. C'est simple et bienveillant, plein d'émotions. Et même si c'est court c'est plein de surprises et je recommande cette histoire du fond de mon coeur.

This was a slower, reflective book. It is a unique idea and a cute story. I wish the message had been less explicitly spelled out at the end and more taught/implied. Very utopia and hopeful. I felt seen by the story, character, and author on several occasions while reading. It was enough like the real world that I had a hard time buying into the utopia because it is so romanticized.

(For example, the emphasis on solar panels as clean energy is great, but ignores the harmful impacts of solar panels, like how they kill birds.... Thanks to my ex for that fact.... There were several things like that and for some reason my brain got caught up in them.)

As usual reading a Becky Chambers book made me cry in a very cathartic way. Absolute recommend for anyone who’s ever felt lost or who has more boxes of tea than any one person could get through in a lifetime.
