I read this in bits which made it a little confusing, I sometimes missed that the character focus had changed 😅
This felt very typical of cats Nd outcasts in Tokyo lit, to the extent that it felt like _everyone_ in Tokyo is outcast in some way - rather than being clever/deep, to me it was dull or lazy. There were some interesting situations, the capsule hotel and tattooist were great, but the cat meandered on with no fulfillment.
The relationship with the boy and gamer was heartwarming though.
