Have not read a David Sedaris book in quite some time, forgot how funny and engaging he is. Loved it

This collection is a combination of Sedaris' fictional writing and pieces of his memoirs. My only complaint was the pieces of his memoirs are so beautiful, hilarious, and gut-wrenching that his fiction feels empty in comparison. The first third felt a bit pretentious for my liking, but he more than made up for it with the rest.

Felt more like a discography thank greatest hits. And what was with all the typos?! But I’m still a big DS fan.

A wonderful collection of some of the very best of Sedaris’s stories, and therefore a look at some of the best things in his life: his talent, his outrageously funny takes on the world, his man and his family. It’s hilarious, poignant, honest and unapologetically untrue by turns. I enjoyed all the new tales I hadn’t read and all the great ones I’ve listened to or read before. Long may you share, Mr. Sedaris.
