Such an utterly bizarre book that reads like genuinely nothing else, but I kind of loved it. I don’t even know how to begin to describe this book - it’s horrifying, but not horror, fantastical but not fantasy. It would almost be Lovecraftian except the unknowable cosmic horrors is the main character. Do yourself a favour and read this so maybe you can tell me what it is.

amazing book. started off super strong & only got better as it went on. all the characters were hugely compelling & the story managed to present something great and unknowing without being difficult about it. very excited about anything else the author will write.

This is a well written page Turner. Bleak, full of horror and too nihilistic for me to enjoy.

This book is pretty weird and dark, but overall pretty good. I was able to predict it most of the time, but I don't think the author was really trying to hide anything. The ending was a little eh to me. The climax was very good in my opinion, but it dropped off in a weird way.

I really enjoyed the choice of having a narrator that was intentionally hiding her thoughts from the reader for an in universe reason. That was very fun.

This story is very dark. A character is burnt to death in some detail. A resurrection is done which involves a character putting their mouth on a corpse magots and all.
