This was definitely an interesting and important read - I'm glad it's out there for anyone who wants to be or is pregnant and for whom it would be helpful or meaningful. I got what I needed out of it and just feel like I don't need to finish it because I intend never to be pregnant lol

No matter how much I read about pregnancy my mind is still blown by how little we seem to know about aspects of it. Google microchimerism as just one example out of like 50 from just this book alone. I enjoyed how much Garbes went into the emotional side of parenting and the huge identity shift of parenthood. For me this books is a perfect mix of facts and emotion.Â
