A great read for fans of the series and I think it'sd be easy to understand and enjoy for those new to the world too.

The art in the beginning of the novel isn't bad but it is a bit basic compared the the art at the end which is fantastic.

Fox children was the weakest story in my opinion, it didn't grab my interest as much as the others and took me a while to finish.

My favourite stories were the house of glass as I loved the mystery of the house and curse of crows as the art was great and it has Ciri and Yennefer. Also Geralt admiring/despairing over the strong women in his life throughout the stories was amusing.

I'd definitely recommend this book to any fan and I'm glad that guy in waterstones recommended it to me when he saw me buying witcher books.

Five stars might seem a little steep for a video game tie-in but I feel this collection delivers on everything a fan of Geralt's adventures could want.

The stories here are really well written and executed and the art styles are fantastic. If you played "The Witcher 3" and desired more of the types of stories presented there, especially the dialogue-heavy ones, you'll find a few to match here.

After being introduced to the world of The Witcher though the Netflix show I am desperate for more content which is the reason I picked this up from Forbidden Planet (affiliate link). Objectively the stories contained in this bind-up are really good, but this is not the best way to be introduced to the Witcher. The closest this collection comes to establishing the world at its lore is the 'Killing Monsters' one-shot which doesn't appear until about halfway through the book. Unfortunately, I also wasn't a huge fan of the art, it was fine and served a purpose but it's not the sort of art that I have to look twice at because it's so compelling. That said, I want to reiterate that the writers do a brilliant job with the stories, making them feel fresh and unpredictable they just weren't very accessible. If you already like the Witcher then, of course, you should pick this up, but you're going to need some background because it's all new to you and you won't get that here.
