Series: Hellboy and the B.P.R.D. #4
Rating:4 stars - It was really good

In this volume, Hellboy deals with demons, giant creatures, spontaneous human combustion, and a weapon at an Air Force base.

This was another great collection of Hellboy stories. I am really enjoying these early stories of Hellboy and his B.P.R.D. team. I really enjoy Agent Woodrow “Woody” Farrier and his determination to encounter a cryptid. I just love that Woody is actively trying to find monsters when most agents are hope for something normal.

Susan Xiang is becoming more interesting with each passing volume. Her abilities are growing and I really can’t wait to see how she will be able to use them in the future. Hellboy is wonderful as always. He does his usual punch first and asks questions later. I do love that he was determined to put down a racist asshole in his place and really wish he had punched him.

Overall, this is a really fun series with a lot of little mini missions that are slowly leading to a larger plot line. I am very interested in seeing what the enkeladite is being used for.

Trigger Warnings: racism
