A fantastic read, I loved how the book was utilizing the prose of the bible and really shows the horror that is Christianity. The adventure the main characters were having also reminded me of a monsters of the week kind of sequence. Each was very dark and twisted and I liked how each of the main characters had their own struggles. 

This is very much like a dark dystopia book set in medieval times and has the triggers that accompany such a setting. There's just about everything within the book that gross, blasphemous, or just rough to get through.  

The book made me cry, it was a good read and does what it says on the tin.

The first half was absolutely perfect, and I wish it would have continued in that fashion. I began to mix up cardinals and seigneurs towards the end where the story got a little muddy for me.
