this was far better than any of its predecessors combined. at least this time, there wasn't any rape or rampant misogyny. the male love interest in this one, michael, still had some psychological issues and the emotional intelligence of a teaspoon, but he was far better than the other male love interests in the previous books of the series. francesca was fun to see. she was like eloise but so much better. she's always been in the background of the other books so it was almost refreshing to get to see her story unfold.

there were far too many steamy scenes for my taste, one or two were enough but there were almost five here. another thing that bothered me was how very little these two communicated their feelings. they were so caught up in their own turmoils that they never considered the other party. it happened so much that it was insane to me. you're both fully grown adults, how are you still acting like a couple of teenagers???? it made no sense to me.

i didn't like the ending tho. sorry but i genuinely did not like the fact that they had kids in the end, oops. i feel like there should at least be one character here who doesn't have their own kids or something. like come on. 8 fucking children. there's always gotta be someone.

anyway, i actually cant wait to see what netflix will do with this couple. i haven't seen the bridgerton series at all, but i've seen that michael is actually michaela and that has me so excited. it would make so much sense considering how the plot in the book is set and to make michael a woman? it just fits. it just rlly fits. francesca is always sorta the odd one out and to have her be queer????? fucking genius. i hope whoever came up with that idea is blessed with a cool pillow at night.

there's also what i've mentioned b4: there's no way not one of the bridgerton siblings is queer, like there's literally no way. at least one of them has to be limp wristed like damn. so yeah im actually very excited to see how that goes. if francesca gets her season, and they keep her wlw, i will so be watching bridgerton
