This book is very dark with some very explicit scenes so be sure of your triggers before reading. That said the twist this book has.. wow.. I couldn’t put it down. And the ending has me so mad that I have to read the next book just to know what happens.

“the bait that treads the water is usually the hook that kills the prey.”

A truer quote was never attributed to a book, I swear. This falls somewhere between static white and oblivion level dark, reader discretion advised. I put off reading this for too long, and loved it. Dark books with actual plots make my soul sing. But I’m definitely going to need to bleach my brain with a romcom before hitting book 2. Fuck me. I am not ok. Send help.
