Meh... I both liked and disliked this book. The time line was jumpy and a bit hard to follow. whats more it didn't come off feeling like a romance. I usually enjoy harem books but then this one was different in that the girls in the harem weren't just sleeping with one man, but being auctioned off to spend months at a time with another. It was just weird. And then there was the relationship between Griffin and Elena which didn't really seem like a relationship at all. So again just weird, in the end 2 stars?

The Surrender of a Lady is a provocative read. Seductively entertaining as Jinan evolves into a sensual woman. I thought this was a refreshingly new story, a unique read that will have readers begging for more.

This is the first Tiffany Clare book I've read and I think I may read another, but I'm not going to go and search for the next one. In other words I enjoyed the book but not immensely. The plot was a bit hit and miss, especially at the beginning as it kept jumping between five years. Other than that, it was a pleasant read and different to any other historical romance I've read.
