This was a really good short story. Very well-written and the women's conclusion is never directly stated, but is still clear.

Um xerife e um superintendente juntamente com suas esposas são enviados para buscar evidências na casa onde o crime ocorreu. A presença das mulheres se deve ao fato de uma ter conhecido o casal, e também para expor uma visão feminina do crime.
Enquanto os homens investigam a parte de cima da casa onde o corpo fora encontrado, as mulheres investigam na cozinha...
Uma colcha não terminada, perfeita no início mas toda torta no final ,um passarinho morto, um único doce dentre vários que não estragou, estas foram as pistas que elas encontram...
Que livro! Fantástico!. Já foi até adaptado por Alfred hitchcock, e está em uma coletânea dos melhores contos do século feito por John Updike .

Most of the writers are able to delivere a 500+ pages story and keep the reader overall entertained, but only an excellent writer is able to write a damn good short story. A jury of her peers is a subtle mystery that unfold in front of your eyes, word by word. It's a story of women that don't know each other (one of them is not even in the room), but grasp the depth of the sorrow that surrounds the homicide by simply look into each other's eye. Quite chilling, actually. I strongly recommend it.
