Almost terrifyingly well-written collection of what I'm guessing is primarily creative non-fiction. She constructs these paragraphs that send emotions whip-lashing back and forth from impossibly tender to heartbreaking-ly mournful. Stories written in the dead of winter, when the sunshine is something you only half-remember. Extremely good.
