One of the best books I've ever read. All the metaphors, the poetry, the intrinsic and implicit meanings, the imaginary and the real, brought together in a beautiful love story, from the inevitable to the constructive. I felt a sweet taste on my lips throughout the reading like the honey that is so present and inexplicably perfect, a sweet soft and full of nuances and secrets and passion.

This book is about a boy, it's about love between two men, it's about love, it's about the most amazing poetry can happen, it's about encouraging yourself and going through the obstacles. A beautiful story, a beautiful story of love, dreams, fears and desires. Too metaphorical, too poetic, but too interesting and insightful; a great and perfect and wonderful writing.

This was quite a magical read, a mesh of some of my favourite fantasy novels into one sort of. Stories within stories, characters and places all whirling about in a pool of confusion (not in a bad way).

If you don't mind the feeling of being whooshed around in a whirlpool where everything blurs out until you're no longer aware of a coherent structure, you might enjoy this book as it sweeps you off your feet. Maybe you could imagine being lost in the middle of a Starless Sea with no sense of direction or time - this was how I felt for most of my reading experience.
