Need for Speed is part two in Solo and Panther's story. It picks up where book one left off and it was an emotional read, with all the sparks. I loved the way this story and their feelings for each other developed. But we are left with another cliffy!?! I need to see how their story ends asap!

As for the narration, I absolutely love Aiden Snow and Christian Fox as Solo and Panther. Their voices just draw you in and keep you mesmerized.

**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**

Need for Speed is the second book in the Elite series. It picks up right where Danger Zone leaves us. Need for Speed cannot be read as a stand alone. You will not be getting the whole story if you do not start with Danger Zone, and trust me when I say you NEED that part of the story.

If you haven't read Danger Zone please do not read this review...there are spoilers for that book.

Grant (Panther) wakes up bruised and battered. He remembers everything that happened when he had to eject from his plane. All he wants is too see Solo and get back to NAFTA. Solo needs to see Panther is okay. Panther's accident brought back so many bad memories of when Solo lost his brother. After finding out he's okay Solo can't get to the hospital fast enough. When Panther is finally released from the hospital he needs to have someone with him and Solo obviously volunteers. The accident and the time spent together brings out the vulnerability of both of them. Things change and they realize they may only have the now, the NAVY could send them in separate ways that a relationship would never servive.

I loved watching this go from something that was just sex to something that is so much more. Neither knowing just how the other felt.

"...let me watch you lose yourself in us"

Panther finally realizing he was living a life that everyone expected but not that he necessarily wanted.

"But I wasn't scared, not anymore, because I knew Solo would be there to catch me."

Where we were left at the end of this one had me dying for the next installment! I have to know how the rest of this plays out!

Mateo and Grant

In this second book of the trilogy, these two men started to become Mateo and Grant and not just their call signs. Through healing, they grew closer and now I cannot wait to see what they have to go through in the last book of the trilogy to get to their happily ever after.

Voto: 4.5 stelle

Note: An ARC was provided by the authors.

I swear, something magical happens when Ella Frank and Brooke Blaine get together to write a book. As individual authors, these two have penned addictive standalones and series that many readers have devoured, but there's that extra bit of decadence when they activate those wonder besties writing powers of theirs. Their new Elite series is a different flavor story-wise, given that while the PresLocke series was about an actor and a model and the Fallen Angel series was about a rock band, they were both about celebrities. Here, we've got two of the best Navy fighter pilots gunning for the top spot in NAFTA, a Top Gun-inspired program to find each class's cream of the crop.

After that doozy of a cliffhanger in book one, I'd been not-quite-patiently waiting to get my hands on book two, and goodness, but how I wanted to have an after-book snuggle with my tablet after I was done reading. Grant and Mateo slash Panther and Solo are at that point where it's clear that what they have is simply MORE. If it looks like love and feels like love, it's most probably exactly that, boys! Le sigh. Now, now, before you think you already know what happens in this second book, tap on those brakes and hold up a minute. There's quite a bit that unfolds here that changes the game for these two guys, and that's inside and outside of the cockpit. The ending isn't an evil cliffhanger, but it does leave you eagerly wanting to know what may await them! Five-plus stars for Need for Speed. ♥

Ok...so I had some time to think about this book and what I have come to realize is that in book 1, I loved Solo..and now in book 2, I loved Panther. :)

When Danger Zone ended, I couldn't wait to see what happened. I'm glad we picked right up from there and we got a better understanding of why Solo acted the way he did. I really felt for him and I also felt for Panther.

I feel that with this book, the both of them open up more and their feelings have grown. Panther is realizing so much about what he wants, but he is conflicted. The passion with them is hotter than ever and we have some sweet moments too. I can't wait for the final book which comes out next month. After the ending of this one, I'm sure we're going to be in for an epic conclusion! :)

I guess I've never really thought about the effects on a human body when they are ejected from a plane. We're dealing with Panther's recovery and Solo's TLC in this book and watching them start to acknowledge what they have is real and lasting.

Go big...

These cliffhangers are killin me. Omg, I love these two, especially Grant.
High octane romance, two navy elites, one smoldering love story. Ella Frank brings her signature heat, with just the right amount of angst.
