Oh man I absolutely adored Emily’s adventures, hectic as they were. The ending fell a bit flat for me but that’s only because I didn’t realize it was a series! Can’t wait for the next book:)

my god???? the start was a bit slow at first, but then i was completely enamoured by the story. the writing style, the scenery, the atmosphere, the worldbuilding, but most particularly, the banter between emily & wendell. the romance is something on the side for the majority & then it blooms & it's so splendid. wendell is so babygirl & emily is so neurodivergent coded. ahhh, i am overjoyed that this is a trilogy. i will be seeking the next installment immediately!

This was delightful. Fantastical. Bizarre (in a good way). I'm scratching my head as I walk away from this book, wondering WTF just happened? In a good way, of course. You gotta read it to believe it.

I started this book and thought it’d be a four. Then halfway through thought it’d be 4.5. And then got to the end and went “what the fuck was that” so it’s back to a 4. (I will be reading book 2 but honestly WHAT)
