This book was so good. Very engaging and kept my attention. It also has some twists that personally shocked me so much.

Maxon is legit what I want in a guy. I have mixed emotions about Aspen, but I'm happy with the way that it worked out in the end. Definitely a HUGE plot twist towards the end and it became very tense for a few chapters. "I'll love you until my very last breath. Every beat of my heart is yours. I don't want to die without you knowing that." Omg sooo cute!

Giving a 4.5 because the first half was a little boring, but I was so anxious and excited toward the end, even in all the scary parts.

Felt good to read, but also hurt at the same time. If that makes any sense.

A lot of emotions, but that’s not a bad thing because sometimes I like to connect with characters by acting out scenes as I read.

I really enjoyed the moments where America and Maxon were alone and happy together. The moments when they giggled and smiled had me doing the same. It was really sweet.

Why did we have to watch Celeste’s death. That hurt a lot more than I ever would’ve expected it to. I guess the impact was important to show the severity of their situation, but it still hurt to see her go like that after she’d turned a new leaf.

My favorite quote from this series by a long-shot:

“Don’t worry. The best people all have some kind of scar.” - I was honored to join them.
