Okay, I love this story. It shows the real life of a teenager --kind of. And she plays football!

I love the fact that she was teased about it because men are so self-centered pigs sometimes because they think that a woman doing something they do is oh so embarrassing.

I also love the fact that she didn't give a damn about it. If she wants to play football, she plays football.

And I absolutely love the way girls and women react to her decision, showing her respect, best wishes, and cheering her up.

I listened to this while driving around town and I have to say I really enjoyed it. It was never the kind of story that I was running to the car so I could listen, it was just a pleasant distraction from traffic. It's a book that I liked, but probably won't remember much about a month from now.

I like how Murdock interwove the thoughts and feelings of a teenage girl so well with football. I can see a lot of guys like this book because football is such a strong theme, but the title and cover of the book might dissuade them from every picking it up.

There is a sequel to this that I might look into because the ending was so open ended. I really like the characters (which were superbly developed) so I'd like to see what happens to them.

This is the kind of book I wish I had read/was available to read when I was younger because I feel like I would have enjoyed it much more. The writing style and story were a bit juvenile. I didn't really start enjoying the book until I was about halfway through and yet there were still things that irked me. I honestly may have given the book three stars but the lackluster ending stopped that.

A very fresh voice, and hilarious. I love DJ's voice and her character. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

I never knew that a book about farming and American football could be so damn entertaining. Usually, those two things would have put me off very fast, also if you throw in that cover, I would be running away. But this book is just so funny and entertaining and D.J. is now kind of my hero.

Very much want to read the next book!
