This was such a short read but it sucked me right in! It made me angry and frustrated in all the right parts, which is when I know I’m really invested in a thriller.
I thought it was initially going to be gross and gaslighty against the female lead, but trust me and stick with it as it alllllllll makes sense in the end.
Def keen to check out more Clare Mackintosh now, if this is what she can do with just over 100 pages!

I like quick reads. They are great for introducing authors' work without committing to a full-length novel and allowing readers to read when a full-length novel isn't possible.
This was a good introduction to this author, and I will look out for her when choosing books in the future. I liked the concept of the story, but I'm also glad it was a quick read. I'm unsure if I could read more of what this story gave, but this was just enough for me to enjoy.
I liked that the story conveyed the importance of being a donor and that we saw both sides of the donor experience. It is a good read and thought-provoking.
