A very light-hearted read. Really cute. I do think all the characters needed therapy lol. They dealt with some pretty heavy things. And I guess the book didn’t want to get too deep into it. I thought at first the parents were planning the wedding for Imani & Cyril but it was really for them lol! I’m glad Imani decided to come back home. And her & Cyril getting together sounded better than Preston & Imani’s mom. However, it would’ve been very weird if the parents got together AND Cyril & Imani…that would’ve been a mess. Overall, it was a cute light read.

Thoughts

Listen like this MC we all love a good corn dog! I thought this book was really fun and THE DRAMA! It is definitely southern lol.

I thought the characters were interesting and I loved how the author made the MC coming to a small town work for her as a city doctor.

There was a little lag near the end sometime after the middle but beside that little section it moved pretty fast because lots is happening and it keeps you turning the page.

I am excited to read more by this author.

I LOVED THIS BOOK! I kept putting off reading this one because I wasn’t sure I would like it. Not only did I like it but I loved it. This was my first book by this author and it did not disappoint. The characters and storyline were very relatable. Looking forward to exploring more by this author.

Entirely way too long and drawn out.
