I love a second chance romance. Probably that’s one of my all-time favourite tropes. And this one featuring workaholic businessman Roland, returning to his family winery in the country to save it from foreclosure, and meeting up with his ex-wife, Zoe, who works there, gave me everything I loved about the trope. For me, this shone in them trying to reconcile what happened with their marriage in the past. Less interesting to me, was all the drama around the winery and his father’s betrayal which took up a large part of the plot. I liked this overall but I don’t know if I care enough about the other family members to read every book in the series… I’m I suppose interested in Leo’s story and potentially the mom’s story if she’ll get one… but I’m a stickler for reading in order so may end up actually just reading through the series eventually.
Moderate: Toxic relationship, Gaslighting, and Abandonment
Minor: Toxic friendship

It was a great romance, great family dynamics, but it wasn't very plot driven, not much happened in the book.
