I love this series! This is the second book (definitely need to read the first one or you'll be really lost) and holds up well. The first book was a love letter to the city of Edinburgh. This is a tumultuous affair with Paris. Definitely makes me want to go back and visit the city.

Oh, I love it!
I'm in love. Gorąco polecam i zachęcam do czytania!!

It was cute, just like the first one, it was a fun light read. Some plot points ended up being a bit too convenient, like what are the odds of this character knowing exactly what they need to know, etc. I did like how the ghost lore was expanded upon and how the stakes were raised a bit more in this book. Still I never felt at any time that the characters were in any serious danger because the MC walked away nearly unscathed from every situation thrown at her. The characters are still my favorite part of the books though. Even if she wasn’t physically present, Lara was my favorite character. The ending left me excited for the next book in the series. Overall, it was good.

The next in the City of Ghosts series from Schwab brings us more spooky shenanigans... we get more background story for Jacob which was definitely a plus, we moved on to dealing with a poltergeist and the story and paranormal workings flowed very nicely, the Paris setting was also great... it was a good, quick and easy read after two previously heavy books... I can't wait to get my hands on the third
