4.5 rounded up: Emily St. John Mandel has done it again! I absolutely LOVE her writing style and the worlds she builds. I’ll start by saying this was no Station Eleven and I’m not sure it would even be possible to create another work of perfection like that. I’ll also say I would’ve loved a little more time with some of the characters - I appreciate the conciseness of her books but this could’ve been a tad longer. All that being said, the concepts explored were super interesting, the time travel was exciting, the twists were awesome, the characters were wonderfully complex, and I just adore her writing so much.

Oh my goodness that was beautiful. I love her writing so much; this was a joy to read. I did cry a bit in the middle, but it was truly fantastic.
