I read 30 pages of this & couldn't stand to read any more because it's not at all realistic. The animals communication (talking) is in italics. The other thing is that the animals go everywhere with their "mom" (aka owner) - they ride in the car & get out at the different places she visits. It's just a little weird, maybe because I'm not imaginative enough.

Okay this was real cute in my opinion. I love cats and dogs so it’s funny to give them commentary in a book.

Love that a cat is named as the co-author of this novel. But unfortunately that was the only good thing. I just couldn't overlook the sexism and bible quotes. And the mystery was boring.
I adore Rita Mae Brown and I absolutely love the settings of all of her novels. However, the subject matter in this easy-to-read murder mystery wasn't extremely interesting this time around.
While I love her books, this one wasn't my favorite. Of course, her characters and style will keep me coming back, ready for more.

I thought cats that solve mysteries would be a cute idea. This was my first try. I couldn't get through this one. Not sure if others from Rita Mae Brown are better, but this one was boring. I'm all for animal reads...idk. I really just thought it was kinda dumb...boring and it felt like more of a chore to read it I wanted to like this. I'll be returning the others I got for trading in old books tomorrow :(
