Great offshoot series from the Steele Shadows Series.

Roman Thieves is putting his job on the line to try and topple the human trafficking/drug ring that killed his mother back in Ireland.  To do that he's had to build himself a murky alter ego, one who deals in people.  But now his personal mission and his job have collided, his latest mission is to save a teacher who was abducted in Mexico.  She apparently has something that the Government wants.  What could a straight-laced teacher from a small town possibly have?

Sam just wants to go home.  She can't understand why she has been untouched but made to watch the suffering and torture of those around her.  But when children are brought into the same cells, she realises that she may have no chance to save herself but she'll die trying to save them.

Enter the dark and mysterious buyer.  She should fear him and his intentions so why oh why does he make her feel safe?

Roman is perfect as the dark, murky, mysterious hero.  His past is integral to the plot and Samantha is possibly the shiny beacon to save him from himself. Whilst some won't enjoy the insta-love I thought it quite suitable, all that adrenaline and the investigation that Roman had done into Sam meant he knew her quite well and Samantha has a level head even in dangerous situations where she is out of her depth.

Well thought out book dealing with some harrowing and all too real dangers of the world.  Can't wait for more!
