Light hearted refreshing romance staring Clementine and Iwan. Both find themselves at crossroads in their lives but 7 years across time.

This was a fantastic read. It was a great love story of two people trying to figure out what they want while their life is changing. The time travel was a fun twist that allowed for the exploration of personal development and how people can change and stay the same as they grow.

Death of a loved one was central to this book. Please be cautious if discussions of suicide are triggering for you.

It was a fund book to read. however the author had a tendency to repeat herself in a way that suggested she didn’t trust the reader to remember basic key details. i’m not sure if this was the result of missed cuts in editing or if it was intentional, but it took away from the enjoyment of the book. then, crucial moments of discovery were kind of glossed over and left out of the book.  this book has an interesting premise and good thematic potential, i just don’t think it reached it. the dialogue was very funny though and the characters were delightful.

Aren’t we all a little bit like Clementine?

I'm not really sure how to feel about this book. It was different than I expected, and I liked parts of it but felt meh about other parts. Overall, I didn't feel like there was a ton of depth to the characters, and they fell for each other too fast for my liking.

The end was really moving and beautiful, and I like that it ended with some uncertainty, although it did fall into place pretty easily. Also the 🌶️ was not 🌶️ enough for me 😭

Make sure you read the author's note at the end. It really shows you a deeper side to the book.

I really, really loved this book. It was a unique premise and executed very well. It’s not purely a romance book either- there’s a lot involving coming of age, grief, and self-discovery. The characters were all loveable and quite realistic, in my opinion. It felt like a genuine story with a touch of whimsy added in. There was always enough twists and surprises to keep you interested but nothing that detracted from the true heart of the story- it was incredibly well balanced. I feel like the side characters were fleshed out just well enough where it felt realistic because they had their own lives and own things going on, and the main character Clementine actually played a part in their lives.

The writing was incredibly poetic and really added to the impact of the story. My favorite was each time Clementine
described how she would paint Iwan’s eyes, almost as an aside, but it just felt so beautiful and real.

This definitely has become one of my all time favorites.
