Powerful poetry ranging from beautiful to frightening. Abuse is the core, but so many other themes. Amazing.

Some of the poetic aspects were hard to follow but the raw emotions behind the text were impossible to miss. Reading this book made me feel sad, angry, and frustrated, but ultimately empowered. It is a book that gives a voice to women (and sometimes men) who have suffered at the hands of another. Beautiful and heartbreaking.

Really beautiful. I’m not a fan of poetry usually but i really enjoyed reading these poems. Anderson has a wonderful way with words.
