So, it's very different from the show, and that's not necessarily bad. But as I read, I couldn't help but wonder "Where's Clarke's mom? Who is Glass? What about Finn?"

I did really enjoy that in the book, the different sections of the Ark are essentially different social classes with there own rules, and ways of doing things. It was intriguing.

Some things really surprised me- and I look forward to reading the next part of the series. Once I read them all, I may have to re- evaluate the number of stars. Bc I still can't help but compare it to the show.

As a huge fan of The 100 TV series, I thought I would finally dig into the book. It is quite different in the little details which creates almost a totally different story line.

I actually really like both the book and TV series in different ways as two different stories with the same plot line. The 100 had a different view point on the Ark more from a front line view versus the background decisions. The introduction to the grounders was also quite different! And boy the first book left you with a cliff hanger. If you haven't seen the series, it would have made me go out and buy the next book in the series!

More CW drama than a CW drama.  I can’t believe these kids are on EARTH, fighting to survive, and literally their only priorities are “does s/he like me???”
