Picked up on a whim. It was a lot better than I was expecting but there was still a bit of 'Nice Guy' writing that crept into the narrative here and there.

Book is a lot better if you've read the prequel!

While I enjoyed this book the first time, I enjoyed it a lot more after I've read the prequel. You've got a better connection with the main characters when you've read the whole backstory. I'm looking forward to start reading the 3rd book in this series later today!

The best part about the book was the quips which Mechani-CAL gave throughout. The action sequences and the fighting style reminded me of Bartimaeus.

Highly recommended for fans of superhero genre esp. Iron Man. Can't wait for more books from Jim.

Good, solid book filled with cliches of books past. Not a "Soon I will be Invincible" though (interestingly, that has a lower rating than this book)

This book is just a ton of fun. Cal is a relatable protagonist, and I was hooked on his story from the start.
